Registered Social Worker (RSW)
I support children, youth, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem.
Experiences like grief, trauma, self-harm, developmental challenges, or difficult relationships can shake up our world and make it hard to engage in daily life, such as work or school.
Major life transitions - relocating, starting school/new job, starting a family, parenting, or the start/end of a relationship - can also bring anxiety and challenges with coping. It’s natural to feel scared to reach out, or to wonder if you even deserve support.
Whether you’re in crisis or things feel “okay” but you’re not feeling like your best self, I offer a safe space to process and reflect, helping you build confidence, strengthen self-esteem, and make changes that align with your goals.

I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist
I am dedicated to helping individuals heal from Childhood Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) by providing a compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy. Trauma can deeply impact our sense of self, relationships, and ability to navigate the world. Whether you have experienced toxic relationships, disrupted family dynamics, emotionally unavailable caregivers, or adverse social environments, I offer a safe space for exploration, healing, and growth. My goal is to help clients break free from survival-based patterns, rebuild emotional resilience, and reconnect with their authentic selves.
Types of Childhood Trauma
- Emotional Trauma (verbal abuse, constant criticism, rejection)
- Psychological Trauma (gaslighting, manipulation, emotional neglect)
- Physical Abuse (hitting, excessive discipline, physical intimidation)
- Sexual Abuse (inappropriate touch, coercion, assault)
- Neglect (lack of emotional support, unmet basic needs, abandonment)
- Domestic Violence Exposure (witnessing abuse between caregivers)
- Parental Substance Abuse (growing up with an addicted parent)
- Parental Mental Illness (living with a parent with untreated mental health conditions)
- Severe Illness or Medical Trauma (chronic hospitalization, painful treatments)
- Divorce and Family Separation (high-conflict divorce, parental alienation)
- Loss of a Parent or Loved One (death, incarceration, disappearance)
- Adoption & Foster Care Trauma (disrupted attachment, lack of stability)
- Bullying or Peer Rejection (social exclusion, humiliation)
- Community or Environmental Trauma (living in war zones, natural disasters, unsafe neighborhoods)
The Far-Reaching Effects of Complex Trauma
Experiencing complex trauma can profoundly shape every aspect of our emotional, psychological, physical, and social well-being, often in ways we don’t immediately recognize. It disrupts our ability to:
1. Perceive Ourselves
- Struggles with self-worth and identity
- Persistent shame, guilt, or feelings of being inherently flawed
- A harsh inner critic reinforcing negative self-beliefs
- Feeling like an imposter in relationships, work, or personal achievements
- A chronic sense of inadequacy or “never being good enough”
2. Navigate Relationships
- Fear of abandonment or rejection, leading to attachment wounds
- Patterns of people-pleasing, over-functioning, or caregiving
- Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe in intimacy
- Tendency to recreate unhealthy relationship dynamics
- Struggles with setting boundaries and advocating for oneself
3. Regulate Emotions
- Emotional dysregulation (sudden mood swings, overwhelming sadness, or numbness)
- Chronic fear, hypervigilance, or an overactive stress response
- Struggles with anger management (suppression or explosive outbursts)
- Dissociation or emotional disconnection
- Difficulty self-soothing or finding healthy coping mechanisms
Healing & Recovery
Complex trauma often leaves individuals feeling stuck in survival mode, but healing is possible. Through trauma-informed therapy, individuals can:
- Regulate the nervous system and create a sense of internal safety
- Reframe unhelpful beliefs and release patterns of self-blame
- Develop secure relationships and set healthy boundaries
- Process and integrate traumatic experiences in a safe, structured way
- Reconnect with their authentic self, inner strength, and personal autonomy
